Not many 18-year-old boys want to spend their summer learning, but Michael Winstone isn’t an ordinary kid. Kind, thoughtful, and exceptionally bright, Michael jumps at the chance to go to Italy when he’s accepted to a graduate-level architecture program. Although he watched his father die from in a terrorist attack when he was just 8 years old, Michael doesn’t believe something like that would also happen to him. He soon realizes he hardly knows the real truth. Now he’ll have to apply every scrap of knowledge and courage he can muster in order to survive.
